time short courses consist of 2 x 3 hours sessions each day,
over 1 or 2 days. Software
currently used includes Chief Architect X1, Alibre Design 10.0, and AutoCAD
LT 2008.
CHIEF
ARCHITECT:
Level 1
- Chief Architect Version X1
This course
is an introduction to Chief Architect software consisting of 4
sessions of 3 hours. It provides participants with the basic
knowledge required to create a 3D architectural model of a single
level house and produce a set of printed plans complete with

Level 2
- Chief Architect Version X1
This course
is our intermediate level Chief Architect training, intended for
users who are familiar with the basics of Chief Architect software and wish to become more productive
by extending the users knowledge of software’s functions. It involves adding extra floor levels,
stairs,
skylights, lowered and coved ceilings, adding contoured terrain
features, customising toolbars, creating templates etc. The course

AUTOCAD:
Level 1
- AutoCAD LT 2009
Taught in a
generic manner to appeal to users from any discipline, this course
introduces the concepts of 2D draughting using AutoCAD software.
Drawing and modifying tools are introduced through the
construction of simple shapes. The creation of a dimensioned print
layout is also covered.
Level 2
- AutoCAD LT 2009
Introducing
productivity tools and exploring options beyond the basics. This
is a course for users with limited experience who want to extend
their knowledge.
ALIBRE
Level 1

Alibre Design
An
introductory level course for anyone wanting to use solid
modelling to create parts, assemblies (for CAD users with an
interest in Alibre Design software), covers and drawings created from these.
Level 2
- Alibre Design
An
intermediate level course for users of Alibre Design, who
wish to extend their knowledge and abilities with these programs.
Part modelling using configurations and design tables, exploded
assemblies and alternate configurations, and creating drawing
cross sections/auxiliary views are all covered.
